"A tale of antiprotons and antineutrons":
Experimental results for the interaction of antiprotons with nuclei at very low energies (down to 1.5 MeV) will be reviewed together with optical-model analysis. Comparisons with extensive experiments on antiprotonic atoms reveal smooth connection between sub-threshold energies and the scattering regime. In particular there is no indication for a substantial isospin dependence. The same applies to antiprotonic hydrogen atoms and to antiproton-proton interactions up to momentum of 300 MeV/c.
In sharp contrast experimental results for antineutron-nucleus interactions which fit reasonably well into the above picture above 200 MeV/c, fail badly at lower momenta on basic tests implied by potential models. The same applies to antineutron-proton experimental results obtained with the same antineutron beam facility. New experiments might solve this puzzle
