"B modes for galaxy surveys":
The recent detection of B modes in the CMB polarization has been interpreted as a manifestation of primordial gravitational waves. If primordial gravitational waves exist, though, it is natural to inquire whether they may have any observable effect on large-scale structure. In this talk, I will review recent work on such effects. There are interesting conceptual questions that arise and possibilities for new tests of inflation.
