Advancements in Hydrodynamic Self Similar Solutions
Self Similar solutions provide one of the greatest tools allowing
analytical or semi-analytical solutions to hydrodynamics problems.
We discuss solutions both in the Newtonian and Relativistic regimes,
both for explosions and implosions. We discuss the stability of these
solutions, solutions to slightly two dimensional problems and define a
new type of behavior which is discretely self similarity. We show that
these three subjects are intimately related.
