Abstract:
The talk will discuss the gaps between scientists and mass media. We will talk about how newsrooms work and how media outlets are changing, what kind of stories the media are seeking, why does the press cover certain stories and ignore others, how science and scientists are reflected in mass media and social media, and how we can bridge (some of) the gaps and improve the coverage of science.
