Date:
Mon, 16/11/201512:00-13:30
Location:
Rothberg Lecture Hall (Next to the National Library of Israel)
Lecturer: Prof. David J. Tannor
Affiliation: Department of Chemical Physics
Weizmann Institute of Science
Abstract:
This talk will discuss concepts and methods
of quantum control using lasers.
Applications considered will include control
of chemical reactions and preliminary
results on control of multielectron
systems. A new tool will be presented, the
von Neumann lattice of phase space
Gaussians, with applications ranging from
distilling mechanisms in ultrafast pulses, to
solving the Schrodinger equation for
multiparticle systems.
