Abstract:
The discovery of the Higgs boson at the LHC is
one of the greatest scientific achievements
this century. Still, despite a few intriguing
hints, no unambiguous signal of physics
beyond the Standard Model of particle
physics has been observed at colliders or at
experiments that search for dark matter, to
date. In this talk I will review the current
theoretical and experimental state of particle
physics, in light of dark matter experiments
and the LHC results. I will then discuss future
directions.
