Abstract:

The field of quantum computing has been growing immensely in the last few years when the core of the activity is shifting from academia to industry.

Currently, more than 100 startups and established corporations are active in the quantum field in almost all possible hardware implementations. 

In this colloquium, I will present the current status of the field of quantum computing and will try to foresee the future of this endeavor.
