Title: "Stellar coronae through a magnifying glass - implementations of a
solar corona model to stellar astrophysics"
Abstract:
In the past decade, state of the art magnetohydrodynamic model has been
developed to study the solar corona and the solar wind with great physical
details. This model has been used to study the steady-state solar wind and
transient Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) events, as well as to provide space
weather forecasting. In contrast, numerical models for stellar astrophysics
are highly approximated and are not as realistic as the model for the Sun.
In my talk, I will present implementations of the solar model to stellar
systems, such as rapidly rotating stars, the young Sun, and exo-planetary
systems, emphasizing the fact that the greater level of details provides
significant new knowledge about the structure and dynamics of stellar
systems.
