Abstract:
In my talk I will introduce the physics of
Efimov states, the infinite series of bound three
body states obtained when the two-particle
attraction is too weak to allow the formation of
a bound pair.
Characterizing these states in terms of the
mathematics of fractals, i.e discrete scale
invariance, the relevant fractal structure will be
defined. Finally, utilizing these building blocks
the connection to the physics of a particle on a
one dimensional lattice, will be established.
