"Quantum manipulations of NV centers in diamond":
In this talk I will describe two recent proposals for the use of quantum manipulation of NV centers in diamond for quantum sensing and quantum simulations.
In the quantum sensing part I will concentrate on prospects of detecting single nuclear spins of single bio molecules and thus shed new light on its structure and dynamics.
In the quantum manipulation part I will describe a proposal to use the diamond surface and nanotechnology to probe new phases of spin lattices.
