Abstract:
Topologically ordered materials have drawn much attention in recent years. In this talk I will discuss the dynamics of topological materials under a sudden local quench attaching them to a critical 1D system. Using both analytical and numerical techniques, we study the evolution of the system in the presence of disorder and interactions. The dynamics following the quench exhibits a series of dynamical revivals with several surprising features.
