Title: FRB emission mechanisms 

Abstract: Fast radio bursts are recently discovered mysterious single pulses of radio emission coming from cosmological distances (~1 Gpc). Their short duration, ~ 1 ms, and tremendous luminosity evidence for a coherent process. I will review the basic physics of coherent emission mechanisms presumably responsible for the FRBs. I discuss the curvature emission of “bunches”, maser mechanisms, and the emission of radio waves by a reconnecting current sheet in highly magnetized plasma. The polarization of the outgoing emission will be also considered.
