Title: Some aspects of Supersymmetry

Abstract:

Supersymmetry (SUSY) is a symmetry relating bosonic states to
fermionic sates, and vice versa. If SUSY exists in nature,
it must be broken spontaneously above the weak scale.
In case it is broken near the weak scale, SUSY provides a
solution to the hierarchy problem between the weak scale and
the Planck scale, it is consistent with the unification of
the electromagnetic, weak and strong couplings at high energies,
it leads to an understanding of the origin of the negative mass
parameters generating the breakdown of the electroweak symmetry,
and it includes a natural Dark Matter candidate.
In this case, the discovery of SUSY is just around the corner,
and indeed the SUSY groups already work hard to look for it at LHC.
I shall give an informal presentation of these issues.
