Abstract:
I will start from introducing the basic
concepts of quantum entanglement, such as
definition of the entanglement entropy, its
general properties and the so-called first
law of entanglement which has received a
considerable attention during the last
year. Then the spotlight will be shifted to
entanglement in Quantum Field Theory. In
particular, I will focus on various
applications of the first law and illustrate
how to extend certain calculations beyond
its range of applicability. I will end my talk
with a detailed analysis of open questions
and future directions.
