The Difference Between Short and Long GRB
Abstract:
GRBs may appear either longer or shorter than their intrinsic duration at the central engine. The various effects that create these illusions are reviewed. It is argued that short GRB are typically seen from a larger off-axis viewing angle than long GRB.
