Abstract:
Feynman diagrams and integrals
introduced in 1948 are the computational
core of the theory of fundamental
interactions and particles. To obtain the
quantum amplitude for a given process of
particle physics we sum over all diagrams
which correspond to the prescribed
external particles, where each diagram
encodes a specific integral.
We shall describe a new and general
method to evaluate Feynman Integrals,
where the integral’s parameter space is
foliated by the action of a symmetry group
G, and its dependence within a G-orbit is
reduced to a line integral over simpler,
propagator-contracted diagrams. The
group depends only on the diagram
topology.
This result will be put in the context of the
ongoing revolution in perturbative
Quantum Field Theory.
